We were ready to get out of the house and figured we'd try out a trail at Eklutna Lake. Eydlu Bena seemed like a good choice since it was just a two-mile loop. A word of warning: If you think there is even the slightest chance that there might be snow on the trails, bring your grippers. On this day the trail was covered by thick ice and a dusting of snow. It was slow and slippery going, with us earning every inch of the 150-ft elevation gain on the trail. :) There was beautiful views along the way and the trail itself was well-marked and well-defined.
