The Eagle River Nature Center celebrates Winter Solstice with a Lantern Walk. We brought our homemade lanterns (oatmeal containers and flameless candles) and walked with other celebrants out to a huge bonfire in the woods. Everyone brought treats to share. The trails were lined with hundreds of ice lanterns, it was really beautiful. The girls really enjoyed this event and it was a good way for us to get out of the house during these dark winter days.
