Sledding At Hatcher Pass

Sledding at Hatcher Pass is turning into an annual tradition. This time we got to take my father-in-law. The scenery never gets old but it's still fun to hear someone else ooh and aah over it too.

Skiing at Hatcher Pass is a good way to get out of the slush and crusty snow in the lower elevations. Just be prepared to do a lot of walking uphill! Also, stay on the groomed areas unless you feel like sinking down to your knees in snow haha!

Cross-Country Ski To Albert Loop Bridge

A beautiful cross-country ski trip out and back to the Albert Loop bridges. The ski out was really fun however all but one of us had taken our skis off by the time we got back to the Nature Center (guess which way is mostly uphill haha!). The trails are so well-used that underneath the snow is ice, not really anything bad it just affects how well you can use your poles.

We walked the hillside trail which goes up and over the mine. I'm sure the longer views are amazing when the fog isn't as thick as pea soup haha.

 The trail continues but we didn't go onto the narrow and steep portion of the trail that leads to Hatch Mountain. We did walk a little farther which are the above views.
