Twin Peaks Trail and Eklutna Lake

The Twin Peaks trail is a moderate hike through birch and evergreens to a vantage point where you can see all of Eklutna Lake and the valley. It was a pretty wild weather day - we had wind, calm, sun, clouds, rain, snow, sleet, and fog in interesting combinations. That's also why there's limited photos of this hike, I had to protect my camera! :)

The trail maintains its intensity throughout the whole trip, except at the very end where it steepens a bit. There was no scrambling and the trail is well-maintained. It was muddy in spots but otherwise bare. After seeing the lake from high up the kids wanted to see it down low so we did a quick trip to the beach.
